Times Square Photo Studio was invited to capture the heart and soul of Tabula Rasa Dance Theatre's latest creation, "Border of Lights." This performance was scheduled to premiere on June 15 and 16 at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, delves into profound themes of human experiences, offering an exploration of immigration, persecution, and the dynamics of judgment.

The mastermind behind "Border of Lights," Tabula Rasa Dance Theatre's artistic director Felipe Escalante, first conceived this visionary production in early 2020 with the intent of casting light upon pressing societal issues. Unfortunately, the debut of the show had to be delayed due to the pandemic's unexpected arrival. However, against the backdrop of today's complex world, including recent events that have touched the lives of countless people, the significance of "Border of Lights" has grown even more pronounced.

"It is a true honor to have been extended this opportunity to capture the essence of 'Border of Lights,'" remarked Ann Meshcheri, the founder of Times Square Photo Studio. "We are confident that our photographs will authentically convey the profundity and importance that define this extraordinary production."

Beyond their role in capturing the performance, Times Square Photo Studio is preparing to unveil captivating behind-the-scenes shots of the dancers as they rehearse and prepare for the production. This behind-the-scenes glimpse will offer an invaluable perspective into the creative journey and the unwavering dedication of the dancers.
